Celebrating 25 Years of Compassionate Care on Cape Cod
Have you ever needed a home care agency for yourself or a loved one? Many of us here at Home Instead have in fact used our services for our own parents. We experience firsthand what peace of mind feels like for the families we serve. To us, it’s personal. It goes beyond words to touch the lives of older adults in their time of need. In this blog post I’m proud to share some things you may not know about Home Instead and the relationships we foster here on Cape Cod.
We are a locally owned and operated, non-medical home care agency providing companionship, homemaking, and professional personal care. Owner Joseph Bazzinotti has led the outstanding team for the past five years. He and his long-standing team have grown the agency to new and exciting milestones, including celebrating 25 years of service to the older adults of Cape Cod.
Customized care planning through compassionate listening is one of the initial ways we connect with our clients. During the very first home visit with our Client Care Managers, we will provide a complete home safety evaluation. We even offer a trusted service to contract for home safety modifications like ramps, grab bars, and so much more.

Our operations headquarters and training center moved from Sandwich to Osterville in 2022. We are conveniently located on Main Street, across from Wimpy’s restaurant, and welcome you to visit anytime. We are actively recruiting for several positions with excellent growth potential. Home Instead is proud to employ retirees who have opened a new fulfilling chapter in their lives through their work with Home Instead. At our operations center, we provide each of our Care Professionals with specialized training before they begin working in the field. They are thoroughly screened and bonded. We are a private pay agency and accept long-term care insurance reimbursement. Our companion services are contracted through Elder Services of Cape Cod & the Islands, our local non-profit, Aging Service Access Point.
Another exceptional offering is our Hospice & Palliative Care support care services. Special end-of-life care training is provided to all our Care Professionals. Sadly, we are sometimes the only on-going bedside presence for a client without family. We supplement the Hospice agency you are working with anywhere from several hours per day, to around-the-clock care. At this stage there are often no words, but the client knows the compassionate touch of a caregiver, enabling them to pass comfortably at home. It is an honor to be present at the end of life and work alongside dedicated hospice clinicians. Along with Alzheimer’s & Dementia, Fall Prevention, Communication Skills, and Safety, we provide a comprehensive overview of the Aging Process facilitated by Monica Petrizzo, RN. Monica leads our training program and has been with the company since 2014.
Did you know we service our clients’ needs wherever they call home? Home Instead provides support in private residences, vacation destinations, retirement communities, assisted living, and memory care communities. Whether we are part of a caregiver’s respite, a transition from home to a new environment, awake overnight support, or long-term in-home care, we are there for you anywhere on Cape Cod.
We would also like to share that incidental transportation services are routinely available. Providing a ride to and from day surgery, or to attend a special event, empowers our clients to remain independent and socially engaged.
